We have now embarked on the last ten nights of Ramadan. The Prophet sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam used to exert himself in devotion during the last ten nights to a greater extent than at any other time.
Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power) is described in the Qur’an as, {better than a thousand months}. [Surah Al-Qadr: 3] The Prophet sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam said: "Whoever prays during the night of Qadr with faith and hoping for its reward will have all of his previous sins forgiven." [Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurairah].

Each night of the month, in this twenty-unit (rakat) prayer, one thirtieth of the glorious Quran is recited, whereby the entire Quran is completed by the month's end |

RAMADAN & THE RELIGION OF ISLAM (Open House)

Sunday, October 8th, 5:00pm – 7:00pm
A special program inviting people of all faiths and backgrounds to a Ramadan “open house” at Zaytuna Institute. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear a short lecture on the holy month of Ramadan, have their questions on the basics of the Islamic faith answered, and partake in a delicious Ramadan fast-breaking meal. All are welcome. |
